The year that was, 2007, was one of the more exciting years my life, thus far: I went from innocuously employed freelance photo magician to full-time photo manipulating all-star. I (temporarily?) gave up one long-studied love, for a subtler un-trained love that I had so much more of a skill set to deal with (hello photo wizard! goodbye dancing clown!). In places a returned to my independent roots, in others I stretched the boundaries of what I thought that I was capable of. I've been a photo editor for a year, I've lived at The School House for a year; it's been good.

Here are a few of the cooler things that I accomplished:

I covered a protest, and re-discovered some lookbook models

Special thanks must go out to certain people for last year: Ian Adelman, for hiring me and trusting me with illustrating his blogs; Jesse Oxfeld, for letting me write things once in awhile; all of the bloggers on Nymag.com for everything. Also: all of my new Bushwick friends, my long-standing NYU friends, and my other scattered non-categorizable friends, for putting up with my working 50-60 hours a week and still wanting to hang out with me once in awhile. See you next year! -- Everett Bogue
