As a publisher online, I often feel like I intuitively 'know' what everyone wants to read from me. Most of the time I ask myself: what's alive in me? And I write that.
Sometimes though, I like to ask a different question. One that is harder for me, but more useful for you.
I ask: what do you want to know?
This tells me more about the needs of my readers. When I ask this question, I get many little answers, which all lead to me knowing a little more about how I can serve my readers better.
This can mean serving my readers better with the invitations that I send out every day, or in a deeper way on Evolving Your Digital Work. If I get enough questions about one technical topic, I'll launch a one-month program.
I can't answer every question individually (I get a lot), but I listen to every question, so they all find a way to make it into the work over time.
Have you asked what your readers want to know? You'll be surprised by the answers.
