It's tempting for me to spend all day crafting the perfect post. I want to stress over each syllable of every word.
I want to make it perfect. I want it to land for everyone. I want it to succeed.
Also, I'd also like it to go viral too, while we're at it.
But then I forget to eat. I forget to go outside. I forget that the coffee got cold an hour ago. I'm hacker-backed and fatigued.
This is why I set deadlines. This is why I've decided on the 15 minute blog post.
One, set a timer for fifteen minutes.
Two, write things.
Three, hit publish.
It seems like a strategy like this would lead to sloppy writing, or poor quality, or both. But it doesn't. Instead, it forces me to do the work, now. I can't wait, I can't procrastinate, I can't check Google+ five times before I write something. I only have 15 minutes.
Everyone has 15 minutes.
