As the year begins to end, I'm looking at which technologies have been rendered obsolete since the year began.
I remember the day I upgraded from Writeroom to Scrivener for my writing workflow. That upgraded experience changed many things for me.
I also remember the day I deleted my Twitter. It was June 16th.
We've also seen some upgrades this year. A few days ago Gmail got a giant upgrade. My experience so far has been positive.
Here's my experiment for you:
Write down all of the hardware and software technologies that you use on a daily basis (that immediately come to mind.) These can be desktop Apps, cloud Apps or something else entirely.
Is there anything on the list that you can upgrade?
Is there anything on the list that you can untether from?
